Samsung...a hardware company should make hardware.
Hmm, pie.
| gergroy said: I think it would be fine if they spun it out as an independent game company. I dont think I would like any of the likely big companies taking them over (samsung, google, apple, etc.). Might be interesting if they got spun out out and merged with one of the big publishers like Activison or EA... The best course for them would be the path of independence though. Same goes for xbox division if it gets cut by microsoft. |
Would be hard for them to be independant when they use a lot of sony technologies, technologies of which only a big company like google or samsung can satisfy, and they need quality hardware people

Microsoft would try and buy the studios and not the hardware division as it would be pointless having both for them, which means pretty much end of playstation, however if they could keep all the people then i'm up for it
Either EA bought them and all EA games became first party Playstation titles or they merged with Nintendo. Those would be my two preferred choices.

So nintendo exists how? Most of the technology they used is developed with their own research department or by outside companies like amd, ibm, etc. there is no reason why they would need to be gobbled up by a hardware company, they already are one.

That'd be the best thing for the gaming industry, the money making home console company paired with the money making handheld console company! Nintendo would have to change ALOT of their practices and westernise themselves too much which they've shown they don't like to do.
If PS still existed, but wasn't run by Sony, would that still be considered a console war loss?
MS should buy all of PlayStation. But if they had to choose between select studios then Naughty Dog, Sucker Punch, and Guerrilla games.

No.
