Forums - Gaming - Watch Dogs vs Mario Kart 8 - Metacritic

Which game will have the higher MetaCritic score?

Watch Dogs 34 11.85%

Mario Kart 8 253 88.15%

Total:287

Same day release. Both hyped. Completely different concepts. Who will have a higher MetaCritic score?

Will Mario Kart 8's familiarity and winning formula help it or be a hinderance?

Will Watch Dog's unique concept edge it out? Or will it crash and burn?

Lock if already done before.....

In my opinion, aside from the Battle Mode, MK8 has pretty much everything going for it!

I believe both will score over 90 on Metacritic.

Mario Kart 8, provided Ubisoft doesn't pay off reviewers.

Have to agree, though there's an outside chance Ubi will strike gold here. This is basically what they're banking the 8th generation on, after all. (although really, Mario Kart 8 is also 8th-gen make-or-break for Nintendo, at least in the home).

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Mario Kart 8 I feel..though it'll be close.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Mk8.
But they arent releasing on the same day!? Atleast in germany its Watch Dogs on 27th May and MK8 on 30th May.

If you're interested in Nintendo content and understand german, maybe you want to take a look at my youtube channel! :)

Mario Kart 8.

I said this in another thread. Even though Watch Dogs is probably going to be better than GTA5, it's going receive a much lower score. Critics are going to score the games how they think the public is going to score them or what the public wants to see. I think most review scores are nothing more than a grab for hits than critics giving legitimate scores.
