E3 is going to be glorious, X1 numbers are going to look pathetic month after month. Microsoft went overboard trying to distract from the horrible 2:1 global beating, and even losing the US market. If 2014 is the data you examine, it's even worse. I've never seen a more front loaded situation with a console before. You had a modest dedicated fanbase willing to pay a premium price for a weak, uninspired, poor value of a product, and beyond that demand has fallen right off a cliff. It's absolutely dead outside of US/UK, and fading hard even there.

4:1 globally this gen is the best case MS can hope for in terms of losing to PS4. By end of gen it may be closer to 5:1+.

Even VGC's broken overinflated XB1 tracking has them losing solidly, the NPD confirmation is just going to be hammering nails into the XB1's legacy of blunders and stumble towards irrelevance.

I really wonder what Microsoft did to you personnaly to hate/bash them that much and wishing so much bad news for the Xbox community...
Also becarefull while talking about the Xbox fanbase in these terms; there are other ways to share you "own" oppinion (even it is certainly shared by the whole Playstation fanbase)...

Now just to respond to your 4:1 or 5:1... I mean, just open Excel (or use Google docs if you like) and do some projections... Even if there are more PS4 selling right now (and I'm not expecting this to change anytime soon), I will let you try to figure out what kind of performance (on both side, PS and Xbox, bad or good) would be required to achieve that... Stop using completly random/out of place numbers like that if you want people to take you a bit seriously.

Some people expect ps4 to do 100M and X1 to do 20M that is 5:1. Altough I preffer to think 150M to 50M 3:1.

And BenV have accounted that Destiny is having a lot more pre-order on PS4 than in X1.

only 13 % more.

In the USA X1 will recover, wait for the price cut, 10k increase a week will mean it will catch up with ps4 by end of year.

Okay, enough with the 13% already. You do not have even the slightest idea what the actual numbers are and are just fabricating figures out of thin air. All you do is put up random numbers without referencing a legitimate source (and no, VGC is not a legitimate source).

I have said this several times that if the Titanfall bundle didn't help the X1 outsell the PS4 in March, why would one think that removing the Kinect will when the Titanfall bundle has significantly better value? It won't and releasing a Kinect-less SKU is only a one month solution before sales go back down again. As we're nearing E3, we've been hearing a lot of potential huge announcements for the PS4 such as Guerilla's new open world RPG and Project Beast. Sony's other studios like Guerilla Cambridge, Sony Bend, Sony London, Quantic Dream, Media Molecule, Santa Monica, and Polyphony Digital have not announced their new games yet. That and the PS4 already has a bunch of confirmed games already such as Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, Shadow of the Beast, Rime, The Witness, Uncharted 4, The Order: 1886, Guilty Gears, Samurai Warriors 4, Driveclub, Without Memory, and Deep Down. While MS has a bunch of games to announce, Sony just has a lot more to offer.

I am fabricating figures? how convenient of you to claim that VGchartz numbers are not accurate, so how much more innacurate can they get? I have said that even if there is a 10 % error, it still close enough for the X1 to rebounce back, of course you claim as if X1 has been massacred in the US (hint, it wasn't)

When VGC keeps adjusting numbers to closely resemble those of NPD, it is inaccurate. It's an undeniable fact. VGC overestimated the X1 sales in March by 100k. You, on the other hand, have not proven otherwise nor have you provided any evidence to support your counterargument. When you are the only person who thinks the 13% figure is correct, then it's clear that you are merely making the number(s) up.

And you still have not provided a legitimate argument has to how the X1 can bounce back and outsell the PS4 in the US. Me, on the other hand, provided plenty of evidence and support my predictions with past evidence.

My rookie penny stock investor analogy seems to be looking better and better.

you need to differentiate what is mathematically possible, and what is realistically plausible.

Update on the best sellers list in Amazon and Gamestop. As of now, PS4 is #11 while the X1 is #201 (Titanfall bundle is at #50) on Amazon. In Gamestop, PS4 is #49 while X1 is #111. We're already close to the Kinect-less SKU's release date, but the SKU isn't making such a huge statement as a must-buy.

Wait, what? You had to PAY for GOLD to browse the internet? wtf? And that's using IE. The worst browser in the world. Fascinating. I guess if MS can get people to pay to use IE, anything is possible.

How I imagine the average American's internal reasoning to have to pay to browse on the xbox:

"Surf the internet on my xbox? I'll have to pay then! It all goes via MS. They definitely have to do something for it to work. They probably check all HTML that's sent to my xbox. Good. Now that's clear I feel much safer!"

anecdotal evidence here but the guy at the gamestop I go to said they only have three pre-orders for the Kinect-less Xbox one.

Extrapolate that to the couple hundred thousand stores and... Xbox One has a VERY big week coming up

Lovely.

Titanfall sold more in USA than any PS4 title (more than infamous, a lot more) and still continues to do so weekly.

Because it's obvious that Watch Dogs is not a game that caters to the X1 audience, but Destiny does.

So if Destiny caters to the X1 audience, why is it showing a greater advantage for the PS4 than the hardware gap?  How does that help your argument?  Although, actually the new numbers for the 24th pushed the hardware advantage just beyond that of Destiny (14.94% vs 14.91%).  However, if Watch Dogs can have a 54% advantage for the PS4 version, surely a game that caters to the X1 audience should be doing better than on par with the current hardware ratio.

If you do the math you see it's very much possible, even plausible.

10k more a week and X1 catches with PS4 in a few months, do the math.

10k more than the PS4 per week won't allow the Xbox One to catch the PS4 in a few months.  Have you done the math?

I included Destny to show that the percentage difference in preorders is consistent with the total hardware sold, and still very competitive in the US.

Yes I have done the math, even explained it in the first page and other posts, have you?
