I guess they expected to sell 100 million copies of GTA V.

Turning this into something semi-serious...

With it being at 33 Million shipped right now, a Gen 8/ PC version of the game could push it towards 40 Million units. Im talking Super Mario Bros. for the NES numbers here.

This is quite significant...

Judging by the wording ("project" as opposed to "game") I'm guessing GTAV port

Interestingly enough, CVG has an article showing that Windows Compatibility Center is now showing Red Dead Redemption.

How the hell are they bleeding so much money then? Next gen game or no next gen game.

If that's the case, I hope it means they are gearing up for a brand new Red Dead game. Oh please god I want a new Red Dead

Platinums: Red Dead Redemption, Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, Terminator Salvation, Uncharted 1, inFamous Second Son, Rocket League

From what it sounds like to me, this is a $30 million loss for this quarter. andGTA5 profits have nothing to do with this.  So they've still made over two billion in profits.

Yeah, I enjoyed RDR when I borrowed it from a friend.

..........no, just no.

So explain to me then how a completely different quarter losing $30 million means they lost 800 million?  Sorry I saw someone state they made a profit of two billion, but that's wrong when Take Two doesn't get the entire $60 but instead $20 per copy.

Sorry, got confused. I think you're right, but they did bleed very fast, look at that timeline.

I also edited what I said that you just quoted.  I copied someone else stating two billion.  They probably only made $800 million as Take Two didn't make $60 per game sold.
