Sounds like you want Bravely Default. I wouldn't be too suprised if BD replaces FF as Square Enix's round based JRPG (IF Bravely Default 2 outsells BD1 by a significant margin) andturns  Final Fantasy into an ARPG series.

I hear a lot of moaning in this thread.

We have known that FFXV(Which was Versus) was going to be an ACTION RPG in the vein of KINGDOM HEARTS since day f*cking one!!! Why are people acting like they have been duped?

If you have seen or played Kingdom Hearts, which is like the second most popular ARPG series, you can see exactly how FFXV's combat plays out.

And let me be the first to say.... I love Tetsuya Nomura's art style and storytelling. Its just the right amount of anime but realistic, with dark fantasy undertones. His artwork was orginially chosen because Amano's highly stylized sketches do not translate well into 3D. If you have ever looked at his art, the finer details are muddled in his artistic sketchiness. Which looks great on paper, not so much when trying to recreate in 3D. His characters are also hyper effeminate looking so for all the grief Nomura gets for his character designs, it could be worse.

I prefer SciFi over medieval fantasy which has been beaten into the ground at this point. So the steampunkie mixtures in FFVI,VII,and VII appeal to me the most.

All i wanna say is i'm ok with FF Kingdom Hearts but i'm definitly not ok with FF Monster Hunter.

After about seven years of hype its about time this game got a release date at E3. 2014 has to be the year. Square is really pushing it.

I didn't see the old footage but it did catch my attention, I'm looking forward to see more, I wouldn't mind at all if the game is more of an action RPG.
