Ubisoft and Sega are keeping with them and it still has some games from EA and activision. Plus what first party is turning into for me is if the new Ip everyone keeps talking about. If that IP beats pikmin and animal crossing then wii u wins that category also. Sorry if I sound angry I'm just counteracting your points you can believe whatever you want to believe. |
the gamecube had fantastic 3rd party games. ever heard of resident evil4? or killer 7? or FF CC? Tales of Symphonia?
and the controller was the best ever...
I hope somebody already pointed out that $200 back in 2001 does not equal $200 in 2014.
And in my opinion the WiiU compares a lot more favorably against the competition than the original Wii did.

I doubt it. The Gamecube had Paper Mario 2, Battalion Commander, and a slew of great exclusives not everyone has heard of. So far the Wii U is just getting what we would expect it to get (Or worse).

While it didn't have as much support as the competition, it still had publisher interest. In contrast; third party support is all but dead on the Wii U. not true |
What's not true?
GC was much closer in graphics to PS2/Xbox than Wii U is to PS4/XB1
GC had much better third party support than Wii U.

First party titles: I personally didn't like Mario Sunshine, I thought it was really boring. I know Zelda was also controversial but later received a cult following which led to the re-release on Wii U. Metroid was also a stellar title. So far it's too early to tell what the quality will be on the Wii U but I know many have praised Mario world. I doubt we'll see two new Zelda games like on the GC and I also doubt we'll see any new Metroid. I think the GC will probably come ahead as the winner here in the future. ??? this is literally just speculation/opinion |
So you think the Wii U is comparible to next gen consoles or that the Gamecube was behind the PS2? Neithe of those are true. The Wii U has the equivalent of a $40 GPU, the Xbox One has a $100 GPU, and the PS4 has a $180 GPU. No, the Wii U can't even come close to the other's performance...

Gamecube was far more powerful than PS2 and rivaled Xbox. In some areas it had better capabilities than Xbox.

You would hope that those would be better than games released 10 years ago.
Gaming moves forward you know.
| Einsam_Delphin said: Err, what!? The Gamecube is absolute garbage compared to the Wii U! Vastly inferior graphics, no online play, no backwards compatibility, no multimedia features, less controller options, no eShop, no off TV play, poor design, no free game included, and so ons! |
Don't know if you're serious. But if you are, then one could say the same about the NES, SNES, N64, PSOne, PS2, Dreamcast, etc.
