Ps4! I have ps3, psvita, and ps plus! So i can get a lot of free games from 3 system! Simple as that. And i hate Xbone xp

As free as in "free beer"?

Nope. You've to pay to play them. And if you cancel your PS+ subscription your games are gone...

Why would you ever leave? It gives you quality games month after month. I have yet to see someone get PSPlus and let it lapse.

Nintendo fans seem to be more open to Xbox than most other people.

Plus, it doesn't feel like Sony is trying to continuously rape their fanbase for money at every chance they get, unlike what MS does with their ridiculous paywall policies.

Just take a look at why everybody is ranting about PS+ DriveClub "upgrade"... .

After a few months of thinking being the market leader with their PS4 sales Sony puts its "this is for the players" mask aside and begins to show its true intentions: rip the players.

Expect more from Sony coming soon. They feel they are in a position they could afford to do so. And maybe they are right about this...

Neither now. I still have the ps3/360 for other games so until that game that really shows off the new current gen is out smash and whatever the other systems have will get me through this year.

Excactly. Why should you leave and loose those games you never owned first hand?

Time to wake up - they are exending this lend-a-game principle to full priced software with PS+ DriveClub upgrade.

Also what you get on PS+ software titles "for free" isn't worth the subscription price. You'll get better quality AND variety on Steam for less. The only AAA titles you get are from Sony. You're not even getting OLD AAA titles from other publishers as it doesn't make financial sense for them.

Just watch some Patchers about this issue and you know why this is the case and why it won't change...

Neither. The only games that haven't turned up on the Wii U so far that our family have been remotely interested in can be played on the PC.

Bought a couple of USB Xbox controllers - job done.

At this moment I will say Xbox One, Titanfall looks fun, same with Garden Warfare. Dead Rising 3 is interesting and Ryse may be bad, but it is at least different and new.

For PS4... Infamous: SS looks like a good game but that is it.

So Xbox One looks more enticing, the problem is that both are way too expensive and there are not a lot of great games.

I had PS+ and let it lapse.

Neither console even begins to interest me with their lackluster game development. They both have only the most basic and hardcore gaming franchises you can name. Why would I bother with either of them.   Keep in mind I am a person who despises FPS games on a console.  I also hate sports games.  I think I just eliminated both of their entire gaming catalogs.

However I did select PS4 because they might just get a Japanese game eventually that gets ported over that doesn't suck. Something like Persona or .... Jeez this is hard thinking of a second game coming to the PS4 I want to play...

At this moment in time, none.

The only exclusive on either console that interests me right now, is Crimson Dragon, and I really wish that were multiplatform/on Wii U also. Other than that? Nothing.

IF I got one of the other consoles at some point in the next few years when they're considerably cheaper, it would be a PS4. But it would take there being several, not just one or two, games that I actually want to own, for me to get one.

Well, I have went with Nintendo + PS for the last three generations. GC+PS2, Wii+PS3 and now WiiU+PS4. I think they go hand in hand pretty well. They offer me platform and adventure games that I really enjoy.

But this is of course my personal opinion, and I am Asian after all.

And as you said yourself "I ask because other Nintendo fans, including myself, seem to have begun leaning towards the Xbox One.". I checked your profile and it said you're American, and in the USA the Xbox brand is the biggest. If you would ask a Nintendo fan from Asia or Europe they would say that they lean more towards PS4, I can guarantee that. Especially Japan.

On the other hand I getting pretty fed up with all this "who has the better games". I mean, come on. It's the beginning of the generation, the big franchise titles are hardly out yet, and the best games will come in the following years, not this year.

To buy a console now, because console X has 3 games you like but console Y only has 1 is pointless. Console Y might have 50 games you like later on, and console X might only end up with 10.

If you are really not convinced which one you should buy, just wait and see.

Or to make it even easier for you. Just buy one, both will have a large library of great games and you will not be disappointed. Trust me.
