Capcom gutted everything that was great about Lost Planet and this is the result.

Interesting to see the numbers. Thanks for this nice consolidated thread.
squeenix cant even spell its own ip properly...

Square Enix seems to be really struggling...only a matter of time until they go full mobile you'd have to say.

Also Sonic Lost World not done too badly; would like to see the breakdown between Wii U and 3DS though.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

I don't know if I'm happy about Onimusha Souls doing well or not. On one hand, that means it will probably stay a mobile franchise, but on the other hand, maybe hope for a real game is still there?

I'd say this result is kinda the opposite, honestly.  They've been struggling for a while and yet this statement shows better-than-expected results, due to one F2P mobile game; one MMO & two traditional retail titles (albeit both remakes).

I think we'll see Square Enix return more to traditional stuff over time, but still with a heavy focus on mobile.

Capcom, on the other hand, don't seem to be learning anything.

Yeah Capcom seem to be going through the motions. I don't think anything will improve for them now...

I don't see SE returning to consoles though; they may be doing better than expected but it's still not a good place they're in right now. And they're in this position down to their mobile ventures and MMO's, so I see them continuing down that route from here (which is a shame IMO)

Thief is also "favorable" so hopefully that means it will turn a profit and other developers get inspired and make more games for next gen.
