Not to mention with a little bit of production value (which could come from, say, not spending millions renting time for an E3 presentation) and you could have something genuinely entertaining from start to finish. This would especially help microsoft (being their main branch is in the US) where they could work with the bigger names in the gaming community on youtube to come up with skits or themes.
I think it's time for these conferences to evolve myself, and I'm not afraid of change. Just because the E3 2013 direct was all info no presentation doesn't mean that's all it can be.
