Yeah, I mean let's all travel back to last years E3 and remember the awesomeness!

Sony:

Here's a video of a wizard and goblin. It's not a game though, which makes this video pretty pointless.

Followed up by making fun of Microsoft because their DRM crap is STUPID.

Followed by some GREAT NEWS GUYS! The two biggest games we're gonna show are NOW MULTIPLAT! (FFXV, and KH3, trailer shown for FFXV, Haley Joel Osmond just basically saying Kingdom Hearts 3 is coming, no real footage to be seen other than a split second of heartless in Twilight Town and a spinning pirate ship.) No release dates.

rendered yellow balls bounce on a white screen.

Microsoft:

WE GOT DRM, MT DEW AND DORITOS! FUCK YEAH, BE EXCITED!!!!! Should have got Gary Busy to be the spokesman.... (Que clap track)

Yeah, completely beats new footage of X, Bayonetta 2, and Mario 3D World; reveals of Smash Bros (with Mega Man), and Mario Kart 8.

I'd be afraid. Lol.

Not that I agree with the two you're quoting, but let's not act as though that's all that was at those two conferences, just looking at our round up articles you forgot:

The Order: 1886 announcement

New Trailers for: Killzone: Shadow Fall, Infamous: Second Son, Knack and Drive Club.

along with what was shown for the PS3 and the admittedly small amount for the Vita.

Here's a link if you want a reminder to what was shown at E3 for Sony or MS

An argument can be made that those crappier moments detracted from these conferences while Nintendo didn't have anything like that, but if that's the argument you were trying to make you certainly didn't preset it as such.

Detracted from Killzone, or Infamous? They'd have to be good enough to detract from, and they are mediocre at best. I do remember that huge Call Of Duty Ghosts conference though, which was hillarious. Words being thrown around like "next gen experience" even though it's cross gen and the video of the fish swimming out of the way. Also funny how you give no other examples of to defend Microsoft.

What I was commenting on was Nintendo's "fear" of E3 and yeah, nothing in that conference was anything to fear. Unless Nintendo has a fear of laughing.
