Dragon Age: Inquisition or Destiny.

I have a feeling one of them will take it, unless E3 gives us some super surprise reveal for the Holidays.

I believe Dragon Age has a shot at being up there as well.

Sunset Overdrive will be decently well-reviewed, but reeks of a commercial flop.

It's similar in ways to the Wonderful 101 in more ways than one.

A ground breaking, creative studio. Platinum games, check. Insomniac, check.
With commercial difficulty. Platinum games, check. Insomniac, check.
White-knighted on a single platform. WiiU, check. XOne, check.
Vibrant artstyle, tongue-in-cheek humor. TW101, check. Sunset Overdrive, check.
In a genre reviewers/gamers increasingly don't appreciate much (action/platformer). TW101, check. Sunset Overdrive, check.

No way, SO actually has massive hype behind it? Have you not seen the reactions today?

Lost count of how much positive feedback I've seen. MS are advertising it as well, that negates everything you said.

Ehh... there's always pockets of "massive" hype for most any system exclusive made by a company worth writing home about.

Regardless of whether or not MS actually advertises the game doesn't negate the two game's similarities. If anything, MS's backing only ensures the game doesn't flop as bad as TW101 did. Still -- I see the game struggling to pass 1 million units and getting lost in the shuffle of several very big releases.

Interesting, I think the fact MS will treat it like a big game will ensure it won't sell less than 2m lifetime.

Don't get me wrong -- it looks like a really solid game. But I think it could be labeled as an "inFamous clone" too.

2 million lifetime even with bargain bin prices is a stretch. Something about off-the-wall, adult-themed action/platformers just doesn't stick for some reason (unless it has zombies -- and it kinda does have zombies...)

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

Both Watch Dogs, Sunset Overdrive and Destiny are probably gonna take a lot of awards but even with the little I've seen from The Order: 1886 it could easily become my personal GOTY.

Either Destiny or Smash Bros at the moment. I don't think Watch Dogs is going to score too well. Uncharted 4 probably isn't going to release this holiday so that's out. The Order is an outside possibility but it doesn't have multiplayer which could hurt it.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Destiny or Watchdogs.

I want to say Destiny but I'm just not feeling it for some reason. WatchDogs for now I would say has the best shot but we'll see how well it scores soon.

Destiny seems the logical choice, but I think it'll get a lot of clickbait troll reviews trying to go against popular opinion. That may drag it down enough to allow something else take it. Wouldn't be surprised if an indie title surprises people and wins some rewards.

Yeah that's happened before, is anything on the horizon that looks incredible tho?

Nothing jumps out at me, but thatgamecompany has to be working on something. The Witness, below, and Ryme also look very good.

Edit: i'm also ignoring handhelds because the journalists largely ignore them as well.

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

Check out MyAnimeList and my Game Collection. Owner of the 5 millionth post.

Well I think Destiny is the best bet currently with a good combination of likely popularity and metacritic score.

Dark Souls 2 would be a good bet but I think it'll be too early in the year to win the bulk of GotY awards.

If I had to pick a dark horse indie game I think I'd go with The Witness.
