I'll get it, i loved ascension though its not as good as the other God of war's, but still a hell of alot better than any other hack n slash out there, i also love the multiplayer so im keen to jump back in.

I think from a business standpoint, both Quantic Dream and Polyphony Digital didn't want to go an entire generation only releasing 1 game each on the PS3 (2 if you count GT5: Prologue). After all the work put into building their engines, creating the assets and the tech for the PS3, it would seem like an awful waste. In the case of Beyond, it may have helped to strengthen the library of the PS4, but it's unlikely in my opinion that it would have sold as much. GT6 to me, makes complete sense launching on the PS3. It's a question of timing. They can delay it on the PS4, and gamers will wait and the install base will grow. Sell a few million copies on the PS3 before they jump to the next platform? Easy money.
