As in, the article misunderstood the quote.  I don't have the original post nor a decent translator to hand, but what I read on GAF about it said that it was a Tecmo presentation where they talked more about Zelda Musou, and then said afterwards that they were creating another collaboration with a western IP.

As in, this article put together that it would be another Nintendo collaboration when in fact that might not be the case.

Ah, that would make more sense. Aside the fact that Nintendo and Tecmo Koei already have a new upcoming joint that we know of (Fatal Frame V).

It definitely seems possible the article misunderstood the guy's quote.  I've added rumor to the title so people don't take it as fact

Bad news, it's probably the only game that I wanted to see delayed from Nintendo. Last time it looked to lack some serious polish... The game had a lot of potential but please get rid of those PS2 looking trees. Graphics are not everything, but there is still a minimum. Why not add some depth to the gameplay as well. I'm affraid of getting tired of playing the game after a couple of hours. They are using Zelda IP, caution with that baby guys...
