Ehh.

Normally I'd be uber hyped for this, as I was for Heart gold/soul silver......
But I literally just beat emerald again a few weeks ago.

Not sure how I feel :(

Theres still more to go after this. I dunno why you are in such a rush to ditch the 3DS. Theres probably gonna be at least one more Pokémon mainline entry after this.

Maybe because they will add new areas and its complete remade in the X/Y graphic style?

I'm still waiting for one valid excuse from anyone as to why home consoles can't have a mainline Pokemon RPG.

Game Freak owns part of the Pokemon IP, they probably want to keep the mainline games on handheld and I doubt Nintendo can stop them. 

Nintendo owns 1/3 of the Pokemon IP, Gamefreak owns 1/3 and then there's a third one that owns the rest, can't remember the name right now. Nevertheless, Nintendo owns 53% stake (as far as I remember) of Gamefreak, and therefore have full control over them, if they want to. 

 

It's obvious that Nintendo and Gamefreak agrees that it's not a good idea, as Nintendo could just have given the task to someone else if they wanted it done, and I'm sure Nintendo wouldn't stop them from making it if they wanted to. Therefore I think they agree. I'm not sure why though, last time I heard it was because the handheld experience brought you together or something, but we all know that's just bullshit.

The difference between HG/SS were G/S were pretty damn noticeable, this will be of even greater depth :)
