Nintendo games in HD with some half semblance of an online network are great (shame it took this long!), but Nintendo really should've known better than releasing another 360/PS3 type console. Even most Wii owners also own either a PS3 or 360, so who was going to be the market for another type of system like this?
People wanted a full on upgraded from the 360/PS3 generation, not another half-measure type console, it's not really surprising in that context that Sony is doing well, because they're the only ones that really gave the consumers a fairly sizable leap from what they already had in their living rooms.
