Forums - Gaming - EA games made up 40% of total Western software sales in the last quarter with digital on the rise, EA announce FY Profits, stock rises 15% after hours

Surprised they are bringing back NBA 15, guess with the generation being young, really good risk reward

Really surprised they arent putting Sims 4 on PS4 and Xbox One this Year.

Their digital revenue would be even higher if they would sell their games not only on Origin. I would already own some more games of them without that But well, at least they get all the money on Origin and not only a part of it.

LOL so they only made $8 million (GAAP) for there 2014 financial year!

It's sad that the most evil company in the industry mannage to get 40% of software only by doing the same yearly franchise over and over again.

I'm pride to be able to say that they did'nt get a single penny from me for the last 5years.

In the fiscal fourth quarter, EA titles represented 40% of Western World combined title sales for the PlayStation®4 and Xbox One.

Most hated company in the US right there.

I know you're being light-hearted, but we have to remember how much of a minority the people that post here, NeoGaf etc are.  I bet even most people who claim to hate EA on gaming forums don't put their money where their mouth is, they will buy Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Battlefront etc etc.

I know, but I still find the EA hate is one of the most hysterical part of the gaming community, like you said nobody ever does anything that would really hurt EA, they put out a basically, from what I understand, broken game in Battlefield 4 and it still sells 8 million copies. And the excuses that are made when EA publishes a game that people want are also hilarious, last seen with Titanfall, which prompted thing like this to get made:

Great, EA didn't touch it, that doesn't mean they aren't benefitting from its sales.

You can be the most hated company and still cash in when you buy out all of the hottest companies or publish their games. American companies know how to get around consumer hatred. They buy out what you like and profit off of it.

great lineup btw

"Golf Title TBA" sounds like it might be a good game!

I'm more interested in "TBA". It comes out on PC and is guaranteed to have less golf in it.
