Man, people are going to be pissed...Sony abandoned The Last Guardian trademark? Wtf has that team been working on for so long?

Chevinator - They were given the notice on Jan 15th 2013, and it just expired...so yeah.  Dunno what's up myself.

They'll probably fill it again soon... I hope.
My new year's resolution this year was being able to see The Last Guardian being re-announced! Sony wouldn't let me down... right?

Hopefully they do, or at least, they come out with an announcement of a renaming or something.  Would be a pretty big deal if they just outright dropped it.  I mean, Team Ico's been working on that for a long ass time now.

Unless they change it to Shadow of the Colossus/ICO 2, I would be mad with them to be honest

As long as whatever they've been working on is still coming, it's name isn't really relevant to me.

Yoshida said recently that TLG was still in development, but it had been altered in some way. Most people made the assumption, almost certainly correctly, that he meant it was now a PS4 project, but perhaps that extended to the name being changed as well.

I'm not reading that much into the abandonment of the trademark. The game is likely going through a name change.
