Yeah in Ireland launching the Store on the PS3 just either gets instantly popped back to the Xbm or else it crashes the system completely and asks if you want to do the system 3 hour check thing on restart, bit annoying.

 

Meant to ask in here btw, is there no news of that 720p updated San Andreas coming to psn... see it on the Xbox360 for like 3euros with achievements now, tis pretty tempting but would rather have it on the ps3 if poss.

Yeah PSN's definitely suffered some kind of failure, not sure how widespread, several of the downdetector type pages showed a spike in reports @ ~3pm EST.  In the States that coincides w/ kids getting out of school, but the first mention of it I heard was in the UK.  Which is a different timezone, so no idea.

Tis properly annoying if you launch the store here like I said, console does not like whatever is going on with it :D best to avoid the psn store completely until one of those sites tells you every thing is rosey again.

Wow, NASA's Antares Cygnus-1 just blew up 6 seconds off the launch pad. Haven't seen a failure like that in a long, long time, not live anyway.
