Should have just called Driveclub a new Gran Turismo. The brand name would have helped it sell a lot more units. What's the point of Sony having 2 racing sim franchises?

It's not sim though, far from Gran Turismo in terms of handling sophistication and realism. I agree they could have used the brand name and call it Gran Turismo: Easier and on Time or something

But maybe it's better not to diminish the brand.

Well they didn't have to call GT7. Add a subtitle like Forza Horizon. Even if the game scores in the mid-70s on metacritic(which is about what I expect) it's still pretty close to what GT6 scored.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

You're really underestimating Evolution.

Their Motorstorm series has ranged from the high 70s to low 80s on metacritic. With reviewers being harsher this gen, and all the problems Driveclub has faced in development, I'd be very surprised if it scores 80+.

Anyways reviews don't mean much, MotorStorm games weren't highly rated but still its one of my favourite racing game franchises. Reviewers don't seem to be fond of anything other than Emo games (Yes, I mean TLOU), FPS, Nintendo games and Open-World games these days.

Driveclub still not in the top 100 on the hourly bestsellers list on Amazon. I know there is a demo but I doubt most people even know about that yet. There just seems to be no buzz around it outside of gaming forums.

It has been for weeks on the Amazon UK top though. The game will do well in EU (and maybe ROW).
US will likely show the weakest performance for it

That's definitely not good but I wouldn't count on it in US. Europe is where it's at regarding racing games since GT3's massive bundling in US.

I don't expect the game to sell very well, there are arguments for it do sell and not sell, overall though DriveClub has a base to sell on it's own merits.

The extended demo has potential, those who will really like the game will almost have to buy it or upgrade, because there will be too little content to satisfy them. Those who won't or just want it to showcase the Ps4's graphics capabilities will stick to the PS+ Edition.

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!
