Funfact: My roommates is a PC gamer, he is extremely critical when it comes to games, he's a firm believer in not paying for games and had never played a MGS game before this one, aside from Ground Zeroes to prepare himself a little.

A couple months ago I brought MGS V to his attention and then reminded him again a couple weeks ago, that made him decide to get (pirate) the game the moment it came out, while the game was put online on September 1st to illegally download there was no crack available, that prompted him to actually buy the game (guess these anti piracy methods do work) and let me tell you, he is freaking addicted to it, it is crazy, he doesn't regret buying the game one bit. I don't think I've ever seen him bitch as much everytime he's not able to play and when he's home he plays every chance he gets. He is visiting his girlfriends family this weekend and I shit you not he considered taking his tower PC with him to play MGSV.

And here I am too busy with university to get the game at this point, because I know myself well enough that I'd just power through for the 60+ hours or whatever it'd take me to finish the game.

Can you do me a favour and tell your roommate that he's an asshole?

Doubt it actually, I can't see him liking the older games very much, one of the few complaints he has with the game is that he doesn't like the supernatural stuff and I think he doesn't care much for the story in general, it's just the gameplay that's too good, past MGS games didn't have this level of gameplay freedom so I don't think he'd like them too much.

Lol, I don't discuss that stuff with him, wouldn't get anywhere anyway.
