The 'believe' avatars are back I see. Don't think any of them actually came to pass at PSX, maybe this time will be different

I'm not expecting LoD this time as I was at PSX, but it's believe message is great, I'll be using it at all conferences xD

But TLG is coming this time, run quick and get that one for you

just so you know. when Sony ends the show with "Have a great E3 everyone" and the camera backs off and people start to leave, and still no TLG, your dreams will be crushed that instant. and i want you to know one thing.... i will be rubbing it in your face.... all... year...long.

It's crazy to read that LoD cost almost as much to make as Uncharted.

They wanted it to be their Final Fantasy. It sold over a million copies but given the massive budget I doubt it came close to profitability.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Uncharted was only around 16M?

Well, LoD was Sony most ambitious project ever, it was totally out of proportion with anything other they were doing with the PS1, and I don't think any PS2 or PS3 games was as ambitious in proportion as it was.

Around 20-22M if I recall correctly. TLOU was ~30M.

I am starting to think TLG will be there, and that is the first time I thought that in years. If not, then fuck it.

Iand the game creator also kinda dissapeared in the dust, I don't even know if he is even alive today xP

He's never made a game after LoD. Not sure what he does for a living

It was actually profitable, Sony said it.

But over 3 years and 100 people, that kind of man power to a 5th gen game, being profitable was not enough, it had to be a massive hit, otherwise they could get that kind of % of profit way easier, and actually way more than that will several minor games.

They were doing a secong game, but after Shu, the game producer, left Japan to USA they cancelled it, and the game creator also kinda dissapeared in the dust, I don't even know if he is even alive today xP

It was really close to 2M sales at retail, it sold better than Demon's Souls on PS3. (I think over Dark Souls on PS3 too)

Oh? Well that's interesting. It is too bad we didn't get a sequel. Maybe since they still had Final Fantasy exclusive to Playstation they didn't feel the need to continue the franchise.
