Nintendo 2006

Sony 2013 was the biggest flat-out victory for a company tho i think.

Their competiton killed themselves. Still don't get how Sony 2013 Press Conference was good.

Yeah, it wasn't! Especially that bit where they consecutively announced two of the most fan requested games of the past 5 years. YAWN.

As it turned out though, the visual downgrade and chopping up of the game ended up making the complaints justified.  Nobody cares Versus is multiplat now.

That made some of the complaints justified, but I don't think that's why the majority of people were butthurt about XIII.

With Versus, I think it's a matter of the game having been announced about 10 years ago. It's just a relief that it's happening at all at this point. That, and the fact that the PS4 is riding high and so Sony fans don't have a reason to be insecure about lost exclusives anymore.

I think I will go with Nintendo's E3 2004 conference! Why?  Eveything about it was awesome! The RE4 trailer was awesome, the Metroid Prime 2 trailer was awesome and the Pokemon FireRed trailer was also nice! The best part of that E3 conference was easily the Zelda reveal though!

This!

Also it's not like Twilight Princess was totally shocking. I mean I wouldn't be shocked by a Zelda announcement at this year's E3 either. It happens. That game gets infinite sequels. It's why I wasn't all that shocked about Final Fantasy 15. I mean when a series gets that high is it ever really a surprise when there's sequels?

Sony's 2009 and Nintendo's 2008 :d

Instant classic.

The best of Nintendo has been 2004, 2006, and 2010.
Each of those I would consider a winner that could win me over.
Hot damn those years. Great games and excitement in 2004 and 2010. I only started watching in 2009, so I didn't see 2004 in its day, so the context isn't full, but it's still good.

And 2006 just felt so much like they had something to prove. That pitch by Reggie was actually quite convincing and invigorating. And then displayed so many good games (not all of which made it out or were high quality in the end...) It's really no wonder Wii was a smash hit that winter.

They held my interest going back to skim them. Sony 2013 was good. But I just skipped to the important parts going back to check it out and found myself done in 15 minutes. I really love the music they used in the pre-show waiting period though. Seriously.
