I remain skeptical, but not concerned; 720p with this level of beauty is more than enough for me, so if this does turn out to be an error (I'll get to say I told you so) it won't damage my enjoyment.

Interesting given all media so far has been in 720p.

Will be interesting to find out for certain but not a game where the bump in resolution is going to have a significant impact on appearance. Still nice to have though if it turns out to be correct.

We talking frames or the kart speed?

If its frames its cause Youtube is capped at 30 fps, when the game is 60 fps of course.

If you talking kart speed, its cause some previewers are playing 50cc or 100cc, when 150cc is the standard fast pace speed.

It's not faster karts (I mean yes there are customizable kart parts that make you faster) but I was talking about modes of play.

50cc, 100cc, adn 150cc also determines aggressiveness of the CPU (taking short cuts, using items, better accuracy).

Agreed. I've been saying for weeks that graphically it's pretty simplistic, so 720p/60fps didn't make much sense. It's good to hear they've hit the 1080p/60fps mark instead.

Now they just need to work on that AA and AF :p

I am impressed by this! Next gen doesn't start until Nintendo says so! Keep on sucking it guys.
