Forums - Gaming Discussion - Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Website Hides Wii U Logo In Source Code

Why does wii U get priority over the vita where the game is likely to sell much much more?
Black ops declassified outsold black ops II and ghosts on wii U combined!

The team that made BO: Declassified was dissolved before the game was released. Activision probably wasn't pleased with the product and didn't expect it to sell that well. And the ones that bought Declassified more than likely won't buy another Vita CoD.

Activision supports the Wii U much more than the Vita. There are 15 Wii U games (2 announced) and 2 Vita games (0 announced).

"Searching through the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare site’s source code, we found an interesting image…this image shows a Wii U logo alongside the logo of all other platforms. As of right now, there’s no announcements about a Wii U version and the preorder page doesn’t have a Wii U box art."

just a fyi its an image used aa a resource dump by web designers,  page elements tben use parts of the one image for the site so therea only one url request rather than multiple,  it will be listed in there purely for the sake of not having to edit the resource data down the line to add in a wiiu section.

if there was actual source code on the page linking to that area of the image but simply set to display:hidden then i would be more inclined to say theres weight to the idea,  but just a logo on the image doesnt give enough credence to it on its own.

yup It's probably just part of a generic template that's copy and pasted for all websites.

All we know right now is that Call of Duty is releasing for 360 + XBO + PS3 + PS4 + PC. good luck to wiiu owners but i would very surprised if this comes out, especially after the way cod ghosts bombed.

Exciting news for the 3 or 4 WiiU owners that still care about CoD!

yeah the theory which nintendo fans mostly use. Biased publishers.

Why would publishers be biased against the Vita?

Why would publishers be biased against the nintendo?

On Nintendo systems they have to compete against the likes of Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, etc. On Vita the first party games don't pose as much of a threat.

yea a on 360/ps3 they have to compete with every third party out there, and franchises that sell even better then those games you mentioned.

It's much easier to rival COD/Assassin's Creed in quality than it is to rival Mario. On Nintendo platforms, you either bring your A-game or you end up looking like crap next to the first party releases.

what about sony's exclusives, they have to compete against those and i don't understand  how a fps and an open world adventure game have to compete against a platformer, its a totally different genres.  they might look like crap to nintendo fans but the rest of the real wolrd is eating it up.

Some games compete more than others, but  essentially, a console owner has a limited budget and so any game on the system that they might buy instead becomes competition.
