At any rate, this is Amazon. I don't trust their figures as a reliable metric for how well a game is doing. Though, I do expect MK to be doing very well, ofcourse.

Put into that context, that sounds more hopeful, plus the bundle has only just been announced, relatively speaking.

I'm not sure if using Amazon is a very good idea, but I am glad nonetheless to see MK8 do well!

These are rankings, which means that the games are being judged against other games in a snapshot of the moment, not their cumulative pre-order numbers. So, then, what is Mario Kart's primary competition? Watch Dogs also comes out in May but it's a game that has been available for pre-order for many months and already has around half a million already. What else, then? MLB 14 (PS4) is 7th, for reference, and won't sell many copies at all compared to a game like Mario Kart. That it's the second video-game on the list to Mario Kart should tell us all we need to know.
