It's pretty clear from the trailer that it was very early in development. It's no different from a ton of other games that have been announced that we haven't heard much about, like Sunset Overdrive, Quantam Break and Yarn Yoshi. It will probably be at E3 but I'm not even sure if it is AAA

It was announced at gamescom not E3, though i expect we'll see it in this years E3.

Also it's still on the site of the devs so i don't think it got cancled http://www.heavyspectrum.com/

@cleador Probably not AAA, but a psn game considering who the dev is.

Yes it was gamescom: http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2013/08/20/shadow-of-the-beast-is-coming-to-ps4/

I really do hope we'll get some more info for this soon since i think it looks promising. (same goes for Rime and everybody goes to the rupture)

Wow, the original was basically on EVERYTHING back in the day.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Such was gaming in the 80s and 90s. I also found it fascinating particularly with arcade conversions, seeing how companies adapted them to work on much more limited hardware.

Gaming is kind of going full circle right now as games like Shadow of the Beast came from tiny developers who started in bedrooms, and the indie scene right now is going back to that. You're also finding that they come out on loads of formats.

The big difference is how much parity there is between versions now. But it was always interesting to look at different versions, because unlike now, the most powerful system didn't necessarily mean the best version of a game.

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

This is why I hate trailers with no gameplay footage. It's like these companies lie to gamers just to get them hyped up over nothing.

It's mostly going to be at E3. Don't fret.

Original had a killer soundtrack. I hope they get a good composer in for this one.

I miss Reflections :(

And I miss Psygnosis.  It seems so silly to have them shut downin 2012 and then pawn off their IP to another developer just a year after.  Could've just downsized them and have them make this themselves.  Sigh.
