Forums - Microsoft - Sunset overdrive will feature huge single player story mode

Lets hope Insomniac gets a hit. I know MS will give them less creative control than Sony, so they are pretty much on their own. They deserve to get a hit after so many years of trial and error. If they fail I hate to say it but thats what MS gettings for picking up Sonys table scraps when they couldnt read the writing on the wall. I love the look of the game so heres hoping we see some positive results at E3. Fuse was a letdown even though the CG for it was great.

You are so bitter, have you been this negative since 2008. Almost all of your comments are negative and they reek of jealousy. Are you mad that a previous Sony devloper is making an exclusive for MSFT? We don't know much but the direction of the game looks promising.

Yes......MS will give them less creative control, yet they are letting Insomniac keep the IP and be completely in charge of what they're doing (they are on record with that btw, cus it was very important to them).

Amazing how every time I see one of your posts my eyeballs roll all the way into the back of my head. It's like you have a superpower. I mean.....as far as coming off that biased can be considered a superpower anyway.

I was gonna say something more insulting and strongly worded but......you're not worth a ban. Come to think of it....you weren't worth this post

yeeah.
finally!

We know very little of Sunset Overdrive but I am very optimistic. I think it will end up being a great title. They are concentrating on one platform unlike Fuse and Insomniac doesn't have a bad track record at all. Fuse was just one blemish. I am sure Microsoft is letting them do there thing.

Neat! I still can't figure out if I would like this game or not though. Will have to see some gameplay.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

They are.

Working with Microsoft:

  • The DRM changes posted by Microsoft yesterday will not have a dramatic effect on what they are doing with the game. Speaks for itself, but you need to be connected to get the updates. Drew does feel that they responded well to the Xbox fans regarding the DRM issue.
  • Working with Microsoft has influenced their game design and how they will interact the with the player. They are an independent company, work with multiple publishers and release their game on different platforms. Microsoft was the right partner for Overdrive. They are excited about XboxOne in terms of the tech that it is offering. Microsoft has been getting Overdrive out there, it was a great way to have their first exposure at E3. Microsoft is engaged as partner and believes in the vision that Insomniac has for the game.
  • Upfront they hit a lot of concerns like the stylization in particular. They really wanted to make a stylizated game and saw that a lot of publishers get cold with that kind of thing. Insomniac stayed with that vision and Microsoft gave a big thumbs up. Insomniac owns the IP and is glad that Microsoft supports that.

not sure about that, not only was there fuse, but all 4 one,and resistance 2 weren't of the highest quality, they put out of some steamers..into the nexus was a nice recovery, but didn't sell well, they can use a great game that has good commercial success, cause their overall quality has gone down from there early ps2 days
