1080p at 30fps is perfectly fine, 60fps is only necessary in racing sims imo.

Stable 30fps is fine. The smoothness of 60fps is a bonus, but really only a must at ridiculous speeds (Wipeout, Red bull X1). All other times 1080p helps more with judging braking distances and setting up the next corner.
framerates only ruin a game if its chopy. Ive never played a gam with steady 30fps and thoght it would be better at 60. i cant even tell the difference. I sure as hell cantell a difference in ugly textures and resolutions.
Gotta love Xbox fans trying to start something over a gorgeous looking exclusive, just because it runs at 30FPS (as if their console has a standard of 60 FPS
), yet will then turn around and act like the differences in multiplats this gen (both rez AND FPS) are minor. Hypocritical, much?
As for DC, if Infamous:SS has taught me anything, it's that 30 FPS can look buttery smooth if it remains above 30FPS. Looking at trailers and GIFs of this game, I can tell it will be the same way.
They should run 60fps if its possible and it does sound possible so bad design choice.

You can't tell the difference in frame rate between this...

and this?

Idk, I'm seeing some PS fans upset about this. Don't blame just the Xbox fans.

Corrected.

Don't compare Driveclub to Forza 5, since its free with plus comparing it with Killer Instict in terms of value is more appropriate.
As for game play, as an arcade racer its similar to need for speed burnout, possibly mario kart( but mario kart can get away with 60 fps with its art style)
If the game was unlocked at 30 then maybe I would have some issues, but its locked at 30, since its not simulating real driving like Forza or GT its more than fine. Its stable.
Locking the framerate is more important than having it at 60 or at 30 looking good. 60 locked is unnecessary, but 30 locked would warrant dropping the resolution.
Also just to clarify for all the ignorants.
Framerate and Resolution aren't linked such that dropping one will increase the other.
