Seems like it at this point.

I don't see it at all. Besides this embargo lifting this week all I've seen is Destiny being spoken about in passing. It could end up being the biggest new IP but 2014 has to be over to say what the most hyped game was. I still see Titanfall getting more attention than Destiny.

Wouldn't this then make Titanfall the first "pretend exclusive"?
They show off the XBox One version, show nothing of the XBox 360 version. They release the XBox One version and hold back the XBox 360 version. When the 360 version finally gets released it is more like a quiet launch. All the marketting went to the XBox One version of the game. Not the PC version, not the XBox 360 version. To the uninformed gamer, wouldn't they believe XBox One was THE place to play Titanfall, even though that wasn't really the case? |
Yes that is true. That said it isn't available on PS4, which we all know, is the dominant console thus far. This is why I think Destiny is a bigger issue because its like stealing sales from Xbox consoles in plain sight. Brilliant strategy.

Well the game isn't even close to being released, I don't remember people talking about Titanfall non stop months before it released, I remember it being spoken about in passing, the only exception was it not coming to PS, but nothing about the actual gameplay or anything. The game has around 650k preorders in the US alone without a release date, seems impressive to me.

Since the PS4 version of Destiny is going to be in 1080p and it's likely that the Xbox One version won't, technically it is the best place to play. |
While true, all the extra effort Sony is taking to push gamers to the PS4 version is a brilliant move to make a 3rd party multiplat drastically favour 1 console over the other.

Lol then you weren't on the internet.
Destiny has had a release date since December. And its pre-orders came from Bungie telling people they would be able to play the beta in Q1 2014 if they pre-ordered for its Spring release. Then they delayed it to September 9th.

Huh didn't know they set a release date. People were talking about Titanfall, but not 5 months before it released.

Great suggestion. By dumping the post and points systems they would almost instantly eradicate spammers and also potentially cut down the amount of bad thread ideas tossed around here.
This should seriously be considered. |
Just wanna say that I don't make threads very often. And this went to 4 pages, which is decent enough.
Is there a reason has only become a concern for you when Sony is starting to do it? MS has done it all last gen. Every COD ad from the last gen, as well as the exclusive bundles, would make you think that it only launched on the 360. They also did it this gen with Titanfall and I'm sure they will continue to do it more this gen to combat some of Sony's true exclusives. Really not a big deal. Though, this gen it will probably help Sony more when they do it, as they will also have the definitive version of the game.
