Tell that to the reviewer who said DKC:TF had "bland" environments.

What does the opinion of an individual reviewer about a single game have to do with a generalized statistical fact? ^^;

I'm just saying Literally every other review praised the environments.

I'm going to bed, but before I do, let me report on my Wii U version of this project:

Based on a group of 17 widely reviewed games, the GameSpot average score is over 7 points out of 100 lower than the Metascore. Seven of the 17 games have scores of under 7/10, including ZombiU (77 on Metacritic, 4.5/10 on GS), Wii Party U (65 on Metacritic, 5/10 on GS), Sonic Lost World (63 on Metacritic, 5/10 on GS), and DKC: Tropical Freeze (82 on Metacritic, 6/10 on GS).

There is not a single case where the GameSpot review of a game for the Wii U is notably higher than the Metascore, and only 4 of the 17 games have above the norm.

There's some other info too, but the GameSpot bias is most notable, and I need to go to bed.

Gametrailers was strongly considered for this list, but didn't make the cut due to it only reviewing a limited number of 3DS games. For instance, they only reviewed three games since 2014 began. Not enough to provide a clear analysis.


Also Gametraliers relevance is slowing slipping as evident by its plummenting site traffic so using a different site was probably a good choice.

I've been saying for 3years now that Gamespot is biased against Nintendo. Since that day where they gave Skyward Sword a 7.5/10.

this, they dont seem bias or less so than anyone else. Nothing on the chart was really shocking

The only thing you can trust about GameSpot, is that there will be at least one completely BS click-bait review every 6 months.

It doesn't surprise me that the highest averages come from Nintendo Life and Nintendo World Report.
