Forums - Nintendo - According to some on Vgchartz, one-three games is enough reason to buy a new system, so why is the Wii U "not worth it" to some?

the reason i bought my ps4 at launch which is very early for me is b/c i wanted to play cross gen games on the superior HW the only exclusive i own for PS4 is outlast which was free PSN title

ryan will you buy me a wii u?

I usually buy my consoles if it has 3 exclusive games that I want and a reasonable price, right now only Wii U matched that requisite (tLoZ: WW HD, TW101, and Pikmin 3, for 300 U$ including one of those games). For PS4 and Xbox One, I am still waiting, price is too high, over 500 for PS4, including a game and PS+, and more than 600 for the Xbox One, including a game and Live, and the exclusives are still not there. Time will tell, maybe by 2015 the situation will change.

In the mean time I am enjoying my current consoles to the fullest.

If your interested in thoes games then yes.

I'm not really that interested in any of the Wii U games except Mario Kart 8, but yes, actually  3  games is my method of decision for whether or not I should get a particular console.  BTW, I'm mostly into western RPGs, Shooters, or any game that has really good storytelling.

-X1 had me with PvZ Garden Warfare, Titanfall, Halo, and Sunset Overdrive, so thats why I got it first.  (Quantum break also looks interesting)

-For Wii U im interested in MK8, and X, so if they anounce the next Zelda, then I'll probabally get the Wii U next.

-For PS4, I'm only interested in The Order 1886 right now, so I'm still waiting for 2 more interesting exclusives to be shown before buying.

But you can play Titanfall on the 360, and both Halo and Sunset Overdrive are not even out yet... greatness awaits Xbox One version?

I think one to three games can be the main reason, but generally not the sole reason for buying a new console. I just bought a Wii U mainly in anticipation of Mario Kart 8, but if not for other games like Pikmin 3, SM3DW, Wonderful 101 etc., along with promise of more games to come like X, Hyrule Warriors, Sonic Boom, and such, I wouldn't have gotten one.

Honestly, I couldn't care less unless it has at least 7 exclusives to tie me down. Other than that, I stick to PC. Also, hardware has a lot to do with it for me. Like the Wii, a good console for it's exclusives but horrible in terms of multimedia and online components. I hear they haven't fixed the online much so I'll wait to see if smash bros and Zelda U look promising. As for XBOXONE, was never a fan of the subscirbtion based gaming which is why I dislike XBOX, though I must admit their online is probably the best available. And for PS4, meh. Sony exculsives aren't my cup of tea. I just like their online infrastructure, psNETWORK.

I make bad threads.

SSB really went downhill after Melee....

The only game on that list that one could argue is worth purchasing a Wii U for is SM3DW. Nothing else is worth dropping $300. Well maybe special cases like Sonic Lost World for Sonic fanatics (like me) or Wind Waker HD for greatest-game-ever-crafted fanatics. (also like me)

That's just your opinion! Someone else could not give a crap about SM3DW and instead buy the Wii U for Pikmin 3 or any of it's other games you deem not worth $300!

Those people are interested in those Xbone games you listed, but not the Nintendo ones you listed?
