Oh, games that have DLC but don't release Compilation editions with everything on the disc later. Sometimes, I don't want to buy expansion packs from the online stores as they never change price and are expsinve anyway but I want to play them, so having them as purchasable in a high street store is good. See Dragon Age 2 and ME3 as bad examples, see Dragon Age: Origins, Borderlands 2 and Dragon's Dogma as good examples.

Hmm, pie.

buggy games! And there are periods I need to be patiently waiting on my next game!

microtransactions. (burn in hell forever.)
DLC as opposed to full-fledged expansions (for game series that actually used to do full-fledged expansions.)
pre-made DLC.
tacked-on multiplayer that sucks.
critical bugs that live in a game forever and are never fixed years after support ends.
pointless shoehorning of social/political commentary in game journalism.
annualizaton.
basically any kind of launcher except Steam, especially if i have to make an account for it.
story progress-based achievements. i don't get the point of that.
invisible walls.

Fanboys, yearly shooters, Quick Time Events, lack of innovation, microtransactions, and day one DLC.

Estelle and Adol... best characters ever! XD

Other gamers.

Second post and already the answer I wanted to give.

But yeah, most of what I hate in gaming can be aptly be surmised as "other gamers". I can deal with a lot of the industry's shit, but the gamers are just...ugh.

As time is changing my taste in gaming changing dramatically. Games / genres that I used to love doesnt appeal me like past. So I am citing things / genres that I dont like. I kinda hate them. This is my opinion and please dont hate me for having an opinion.

Turn based mechanism: This is the most annoying thing that I cant stand. Sure, in past I used to like it. Games like civilization were my favorite. But I cant stomach them now days. Especially in third person games its beyond annoying. Example, Final fantasy or pokemon. Yeah. I said it. Good games have been ruined by it. Like, valkyria chronicles or ni no kuni. Burn me.

Yearly sequels: COD, Fifa or Assassins creed. I often ask myself how come people are playing same game over and over again. But its their choice.

Racing sims: I do enjoy normal racing "stuffs" in games like GTA (which is not racing at all). Arcade onces or simulation onces IMO they are like going in a straight line without any freedom. We are just following a green / red line (I know we can turn it off) to go in a certain distance. Meh. Despite this I enjoyed forza 3 and I dont know why I liked it, which is IMO best racing game of 7th gen.

Thing is, while there are people who buy them year after year (I do), there are many who only buy them every two or perhaps even only every three years. Look at the massive sales of one game in each of the series and then imagine how much bigger the true userbase of the franchises actually are.

-People who complain about re-released titles even when they had no intention of buying them in the first place.
-Angst against developers/publishers, for no real reason.
-People who claim one thing is better than the other, but only have one side to view from.

Can't we all just get along. If not for yourself, do it for the future.

Well said. Yeah. True fanbase might be 2-3 times of actuals sales.
