MS, hands down. They haven't really brought anything to the gaming industry, other than poor policies formed out of greed, not giving the best value to the customer. And these policies are catching up to them this gen. I shudder at what gaming would have become if Sony wasn't there to compete with them this time.

 Nintendo introduced  multiplayer ports with the N64, Nintendo introduced shoulder buttons with the SNES controller, Nintendo introduced the analog stick with the N64 controller, Nintendo introduced the D-Pad in 1980 with the Game & Watch, 3D polygonal graphics were made possible thanks to the Super FX chip ( SNES), Nintendo introduced a free roaming camera with Mario 64.

Sure Sony made the the cd add ons, but Sega brought that into the home console market.

Nintendo won't make games for other consoles, if they stop making home consoles they will carry on in the handheld Market, I can see them trying an iPad like device at some point, so stop wishing for this to happen because it won't.

Microsoft is the least deserving to stay in the gaming industry. They have been guilty of numerous horrible practices such as not allowing self-publication, enforcing DRM with EA, moneyhatting, and forcing Kinect. While MS has changed much of their policies, the fact that MS used to be so hardline on their DRM and anti-indie policies is hard to ignore and not easily forgiven.

Nintendo isn't doing too hot either, but at least they're doing well with the 3DS.
