Which of the SSB Playable Characters (From All Games) Are More Popular In SSB than in Their Own Franchises?

Kind of ironic but i thought about it. Some characters are much more known well known cuz of SSB than thier own franchises!

Ex of this are Mario being known for Mario Franchises but Ice Climbers are much more known from SSB!

Which other characters in your opinion are more popular in Smash than Their own franchises?

Samus, King Dedede, Kirby, Little Mac will be, Lucario (possibly), Marth, Megaman will be, Olimar, Pit, Rosalina will be, Samus, Sheik, Zero Suit Samus will be.

In addition R.O.B, meta knight and Ice climbers, plus any fire emblem guy. I can't remember the rest. :P

Not necessarily, Your just pointing out wat came out first. I bet more people are familiar with Captain Falcon+Ice Climbers due to smash than F Zero (SNES) and Ice Climbers (NES).

Also how about Roy? He came from SSB before FE...

Edit: How about Marth? Most popular SSB in the tourney scene and people know him more as a SSB character than an FE

Captain Falcon is only known because of Smash Bros.

i disagree with Samus and Megaman. Kirby as well, he gets a ton of games. As for newcomers you listed Rosalina is going to be still more well known cuz of the SMG games imo. Little Mac definitely might be more known frm SSB in the futre :)

I have a friend who doesn't play anything other than Fifa. He's a football guy (in case that wasn't obvious). He DOES know who Samus is though, as he had seen her in Smash bros. He said: Oh, I've seen him before.

 

While both Kirby and Megaman isn't unknown for most of us gamers, they are far more known for being in smash bros than their own games. Megaman isn't even close to being famous outside of the "hardcore" gamers walls. Kirby is virtually unknown. The same can be said about most of them.

 

I didn forget Falcon though :D
