Forums - Microsoft - Xbox One production may slow down or stop to give retailers a chance to shift inventory

Makes sense. There is still too much supply.

I dont get it. If MS has so much X1 stock, why dont they launch in the 50 or whatever number of countries they have yet to officially launch in? Seems like a waste.

They will, but those marlets are worth what.. extra 5% in sales.

X1 is out in all the markets that matter.

Ah yes. Forgot about the whole kinect language issue. Just seems like such a waste.

Guess they don't expect the markets they haven't already launched in to shift too much hardware then.

I guess they're wanting to get the cost of manufacturing down before they do a price cut rather than price cut to stimulate demand.

slowing down production would increase cost though.

Not for the hardware components though. They also need research to get smaller chips inside which also reduces the cost.

They were on shelves before and after Christmas. I saw nothing but X1s at ever retailer I wen to and the Titanfall bundle (which is down to number 40 on Amazon) are still in stock. The console just is not popular and it need much more than a price drop. No year head start, no cheaper price, no DLC, timed exclusives or hype can save the X1.PS4 is just more popular period as the PS brand is bigger. The X1 is selling what it should be selling.

So is she saying that it will be a slow down through q4 or are they just expecting to sell some of the inventory already available? Statement leaves room for speculation

This makes this sites sales numbers even more laughable.

Fox News would be proud with the spin of this thread title.

There is nothing in the article that supports this title.

Lol! Clutching at straws now
