Nintendo can do much more than just video game stuff, just like how Sony and Microsoft do much more than just Playstation and Xbox stuff. While Sony keeps losing money and laying off workers, Nintendo is hiring, expanding their business, and is totally free of debt, lol

I thought it was going to be a device specifically based around weight loss? Thats what I understood since Iwata mentioned "Health" So I figured it'd be a cheaper platform and weaker then the WiiU. A 200$ device that was built around weight loss that would receive small games every month based around getting a better physique? :o

i think the only thing we know for sure is we aren't the target market.

I could see them releasing an improved Wii Fit thats not tied to a console. Maybe it would include fitness and diet apps that can be downloaded to it.

Another possible thing is the children's learning tablet that was rumored awhile back. A tablet with fun little educational games featuring Nintendo mascots.

These two products could help them regain the Wii Fit/Brain Training crowd they had on Wii/DS.

Okay, then what is the basic concept, and why is it so different that it can't be done with the Wii U?  Nintendo has traditionally been a games & entertainment company (& love hotels), so it would be expected that their new device will be a games & entertainment device also, even if it also has "health" benifits, so it's completely fine to speculate about just what the hell it is.

I don't understand the bit about Sony loosing money & Nintendo being dept free, not that I don't think it's true, just it confuses me that you felt the need to say that.

Not exactualy, it was said to be intended to coexist because Nintendo didn't want to risk destroting the Gameboy brand with the unproven DS brand, but you're right that it was truely ment to replace it.

All I know is that as a die hard nintendo fan for almost 20years, that QOL platform may be the thing that finally makes me drop support of Nintendo. If it's all about gimmick, all about casual and not enough about games for gamers and if it has once again 1/5th of the specs of it's competition I'm done with Nintendo.

And sadly I believe this will be the case.
