Forums - Gaming - New Fatal Frame announced for Wii U!

My two cents on the camera angle debate: first-person is the best. Most of the successful modern survival horror games use it (Amnesia, Slender, Outlast, ect.), and it naturally limits the player's perspective for effect.

What is the meaning of this? I don't pay them to make WiiU exclusives!

Then again, maybe Nintendo does.

Nintendo wouldn't let Tecmo Koei make Hyrule Warriors with out a price. This is the price.

I'll piss my pants again, the last game was amazing!!!

That's actually a possible explanation.

uh, I'm pretty sure Nintendo wouldn't have this mindset. They have a good relationship with Tecmo Koei, and Nintendo has a major hold on the Fatal Frame series.

Now that I think about it, this being localized is likely.

As others have mentioned, X is getting more western attention in directs, Spirit Camera was brought here, and even Tomodachi Life (they didn't even change the name to be U.S sounding) is coming in June.

That´s great news ! Another great franchise coming back (and saved) by Nintendo

It was doing fine until it went to Nintendo...

Yeah, doing fine on ps2.... The Wii U rerelease of Crimson Butterfly sold 2/3 what the PS2 version did and it wasn't even released in the US.

There are no solid numbers for Fatal Frame IV, but it suffers from not being localized as well. Point being, it'll sell just fine on the Wii U, and chances are will be the best selling Fatal Frame ever.

The Wonderful 101 had sold better than the Fatal Frame series (on a single platform), and that's a new game with no hype made from a company that has made no prior games for Nintendo.

If they show off how interesting and immersive the gameplay can be with the gamepad, add the hype that this will be Fatal Frames first HD game, add the graphical benefits of it being exclusive (720p 60fps; always on vsync so no screen tearing; advanced lighting; you know, just rewatch the Bayonetta 2 trailers) and how can people not be excited. Especially if the trailers convey that this game could actually be scary.

WHAT? haha i had one of them on the ps2 i believe. it scared the shit out of me back then.

Ltd predictions by the time 9th Gen comes out

Ps4:110million

Xbox one :75 million( was 65)

Wii u: 20 milliion

It's not going to get localized, and with region-lock, we're out of luck.

Tecmo Koei.  Just wait for the enhanced Vita port next year :p

On a serious note, SWEET I can't wait to see this on a system that can run it properly! I wonder if they'll use the pad in any meaningful way. This'll come to Europe as Nintendo will publish it themselves. I'm pretty sure of that.
