Forums - Sony - So, Where Are All These AAA PS4 Exclusives, Sony?

Even if Sony has 24 studios working on PS4 games those games take time to make. At 18 months to 2 years(which is being kind as many of their studios are known to take longer) I can't see them getting out more than 3-6 AAA 1st party developed games a year. The lower end of that is what Vita got. PS4 games take longer to make than Vita games. Thank god we at least know PS4 will be getting their major developers like ND on board unlike Vita.

sony dont has the money for 6 AAA titles at the same time... those games cost a lot of money to make, and sonys isnt sooo high on cash. they cant put 600m $ a side to make 6 AAA titles.  but no one needs 6 AAA titles a year.

Everyone knows Sony is probably the absolute worst at keeping secrets (or maybe the very best at "leaking" upcoming announcements), but given that there is no current pressing need to convince consumers to buy a PS4 now for games that are coming in a year or even later since the PS4 already Print$ Money!, it's very likely that they're simply holding off on software announcements until E3.

They have been pretty quiet relative to the amount of commercial success their new platform has been enjoying, but since Sony currently doesn't have to sell the PS4 on what will be rather than what is, whether they announce games that are 6-12 months off in the future today or another 2-3 months from now really doesn't matter.

Personally, Sony doesn't have to convince me to buy a PS4 and they don't have to assure me of its worth based on games I can't go out and buy today, so I can wait knowing that the odds are highly in favor of consumers seeing the same level of software support on the PS4 as they did for the PS3.

They're in 2015 and later.

PS3 was praised for GoW:A, TLoU, MLB, B2S, GT6, R&C:ItN last year.  Even with those and GTAV and CoD:G and plenty more PS3 sales declined. I would say they NEED 6+ per year in addition to great 3rd party support if they want to maximize sales.  Though that wont matter as much until sales have slowed. Such an output might be good reason for them not to slow.

Because what he's posting was confirmed ages ago. http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/02/25/every-sony-owned-studio-is-working-on-ps4-games

Games just take time. We're only 5 months.

4 ≈ One

Ops going to have a baby and be upset that she can't walk or talk by the end of the first week.

Kinda ironic given the last few years between PS3 and 360....now X1 has currently more AAA games while PS4 pushes the indies and ports.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Something is wrong here.

How many AAA Xbone had? If I'm not wrong there is no AAA to be launched on Xbone this year and right now the numbers are tied... PS4 received a new AAA each two or three months this year yet.

Well 2013 alone had Killer Instinct, Forza 5, and Dead Rising 3 vs Killzone. 3 against 1 right there. I view Killer Instinct along the lines as Warhawk or Wipeout HD Fury, a AAA game released purely digitally, not to be confused with an indie title just because they are both digital.

2014 is tied with Titanfall and Infamous. So X1 has a edge whether or not you count KI.

That said, there is no shame in this, PS4 can't win in literally everything. It does have a edge on overall library though.
