Forums - Nintendo - MK8: I Think Instead of the Standard 4 Cups (16 New Courses) We'll See 5 Cups This Time Around! Thoughts?

With the Release of MK8 coming out in just over a month, i always predicted we get more than the standard 4 cups(8 cups including Retro)

I find it kinda odd we have almost all the tracks already confirmed (even if a few hasn't been shown), so i predict we will have 20 new and 20 retro tracks for this installment!

Here's a pic with the cups and the tracks from the same video that revealed the possible 30 characters

But then, another user pointed out how close the cups were to each other leaving a lot of space for another two cups.

Here are the courses we know (* means not shown yet)

~Mushroom Cup

Mario Kart Stadium

Water Park

Sweet Sweet Canyon

Thwomp Ruins

~Flower Cup

Mario Circuit

Toad Harbor

Twisted Mansion

Shy Guy Falls

~Star Cup

Sunshine Airport

Electrodome

~Special Cup

Cloudtop Cruise

*Rainbow Road

~UNASSIGNED TRACKS

Bone Dry Dunes

*Dolphin Shoals (pics only)

Your thoughts?

The more tracks the better! Specially with the gorgeous graphics on the wiiU, it just makes me wish that all the tracks were remastered but alas, that cannot happen!

And yes, I know its Nintendo's Superior Art Direction that makes the game look so good for all you people that love eating babies for lunch

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

Great that there's 40 tracks, even if there's a good chance of half of them being Retro. Still beats MK7's amount of new tracks!

I hope so. I so very hope so.

15 minutes for cup.
150 mins
30 mins more to beat 150cc
yeay

It don't matter if it isn't super demanding, it just needs to be awesome eye candy!

There's only 8 cups, 32 tracks. Already been confirmed and we even have picture proof now.

All cups are always visible even if you haven't unlocked them yet. The picture shows that this is the case once again as the first two cups in each set are available, but the last two remained locked.
