Forums - Gaming - Cheat Code Central: "Zero Suit Samus’s New Design is Sexist is here's why"

Tagged games:

When I saw the heels I thought "those look pretty fun" and moved on...I didn't realize this would be a big deal. Honestly, I feel as if this is one of the stupidest things to get upset over. There are plenty of valid complaints in the world, why even bring this up.

Also, the blaming of Bamco is silly...everyone knows that this game is Sakurai's

Finally, the OP complains about the fact that there is no character to appeal to girls...but what about Little Mac? Or the fact that we haven't seen the whole roster yet....

The problem here is that clearly Samus sets unrealistic body standards for women.

The gaming industry never does that with men...

I think his view on what women find sexy is truly sexist.

"Why isn’t Captain Falcon wearing a thong or sporting a chest twice the size of his last model? Why doesn’t Mario have an absurd crotch buldge holding in his 10 inch slice of manhood?"

I think a lot of women would actually find those disgusting. I just wish we could be rid of feminazis.

3. The vast majority of foot fetishist (Which there's a hella lot of them) like high heels.

Guess that puts me in the minority. As a foot fetishist, high heels do nothing for me.

Maybe. I'm not completely sure about that, but I do know that most foot fetishist like to smell shoes after they're worn, and high heels are shoes.

But this is completely off subject.

That's just ewww. I'm reminded of that hilarious character from There's Something About Mary.

But aren't shoe fetishists and foot fetishist separate? I don't know though.

Well I think foot fetishist like the smell, not the shoe itself. Not sure about shoe fetishist.

If there is even a problem here, I blame it all on Namco. Nintendo is being pressured by Namco to do dirty things. Every bad decision in this game is all the fault of Namco, trust me.

Yeah, for a foot fetishist its generally about the smell of the feet in the shoes. Shoes themselves are a separate paraphilia.

It is a sexualized decadent age in pretty much everything man: music, movies, books and even games, that is not surprising at all.
And women are to blame too, everytime a bimbo makes a videocast showing cleavage or wearing a corset she is trying to attract attention by sex instead of brains.
I myself try to not give incentives to this kind of behavior by never watching opinion pieces where they use a hot girl exposing herself as bait.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

No, just no.

Eh, that's really missing the point. When it comes to sexism in video games, the real problem is that it is very common that men are portrayed as what men want to be and women are portrayed as what men want them to be. Well, that is if you think of sexism in video games as a serious problem to begin with.

Women don't mind virtual women being sexualized, because women do want to be pretty, attractive and sexy. However, such virtual women must also possess other traits and convey that they are in control. While the male audience sees, for example, Lara Croft and the Dead or Alive girls as equal fap material, the former is actually respected by the female audience. Lara is definitely desired by men, but she isn't their toy.

So analogously, Other M Smus is sexist because she is submissive and dependent, while Smash Bros Samus is not because despite being sexualised, she's still a badass?
