You nailed it... good one.

BTW 360 did 1.7m in the it second quarter.

lol...

They were playing catch up.

360 shipments for the first 6 months were 3.2m versus 5.1m for the Xbox ONE

The ONE is performing significantly better.

Isn't that actually bad because those X1 shipments are terribly inconsistent. The 360 was impressively consistent for Q2, Q3, and Q4. However, shipments for the X1 just fell off a cliff and so early, too. I would have expected the drop to happen much later.

Awfully quiet in here....

And we REALLY need to talk about 360 sales on this site.

Well, if you want more noise....

To me, 2m shipped, 1'2m of them being Xbox One, is a low number, a very low number, compared to probably 3m shipped only for PS4 in the same timeframe, so i don't see any reasons to celebrate anything, maybe if you're comparing with Nintendo....

And about X360 sales, you're right, the numbers are obviously undertracked, a lot, but i don't think they will ever be fixed....

We're also celebrating that MS as a whole is doing significantly well compared to the competition, you know, the dear maker of your favorite console. If it keeps going down to crap for them, you can say good buy to the Playstation brand in the near future.

Well, i don't care what MS as a whole is doing.I wish them the best, the same for Sony. I know Microsoft is a more profitable company than Sony, but I'm here only to talk about sales. 800k this quarter and almost 84m lifetime for Xbox 360 are both great numbers, 1'2m for Xbox One compared to around 3m PS4 aren't.

And maybe I prefer Playstation over the others, but numbers are numbers...and i was giving my opinion because Kowen was saying the crowd was very quiet, so i just did my part.

As always, fantastic results by MS. Xbox One shipped an extra 100k more than I thought too.

Were you even around then? lol.  The 360 was murder to find even after the holidays.

Give me a prediciton for the ONE next quarter... go on... be brave.

I have no idea what it will be, but you seem certain.

Can I use a range? A minor one?

Q4: 0.8-1.0m

They will reach 6 million shipped at the end of next quarter.

Because they obviously make very little money from it.

So still ahead of 360 then as they reach E3?

Not a good sign because if it won't change 360 will catch Xbox One before the end of the year.

1.2m for a console that launched at 3.9m shipped is big a drop... if you compare with the 3 million shipped by competition then you have a non-good situation... more a warring to MS than a good result in terms of sales.

360 did really good for this quarter after so many years... surprised by it... and I already agreed with you but again it is a hell of undertracked here (same for PS3).

Poor XOne numbers, as could have been expected based on all previous reports. They need to perform a minor miracle to sell-to 750.000 in Q4. And I am being very very generous wuth that number, it will in all probability be closer to 600.000.

They will probably reach 6 million at E3, and then take out their machette and start slashing prices.

That's 13 weeks.
Using the 600k number that would be 46k a week on average.
Using the 750k number that would be 58k a week on average.

Currently it's doing over 80k per week, meaning 1m in Q4 for MS.

It will not be doing even close to 80k sales per week. And most of the sales will be lefrover stock. I can't imagine retailers taking in a million more, especially since XOne has absolutely zero new games to bundle with their shipments.

I stand by my spread, I believe it's realistic.

No matter how you try and slice it, XBO is out-pacing X360 in the same time frame with more competition and a higher price. Obviously that is a bad sign xD

Good thread Kowen.  Good results from MSFT and X360 seems undertracked on VGC
