And we REALLY need to talk about 360 sales on this site.

Agreed. The local MediaMarkt boss is probably mad by now. Early December, he got 5 palettes of X360s for XMas (roughly 300 boxes). We are now nearing the end of April, and four of the five palettes are still clogging the entire games area. There are sh*ttons, and I mean sh*ttons of unsold X360s lying around since early December in many shops here.

I wonder how the situation is elsewhere. Maybe it sells like sliced bread everywhere else, as Kowenicki wants to believe, and I'm just witnessing the one fluke data point. I could rub more salt into his wounds giving an XBox One/PS4 comparison but let's stay civilised.

Yeah and if that's true, how could they possibly ship 800k more WW? They holding a gun to retailers heads? And since when did you store (and your story sounds shady anyway tbh) dictate how well it's selling ... anywhere else?

Same quarter last year:

360 shipped 1.3m

Net profit of $6bn on revenue of $20bn for the quarter.

Not bad but not a patch on my company Apple. Apple made $13 billion last quarter more than both quarters of Microsoft! I think Apple reserves will be twice MS by now!

Think you are on the wrong website. Here, MS's profits are more directly compared to Sonys :)

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Look. I'm not going to take pictures of the palettes sitting in the games area. You will obviously yell "Photoshop/Lie lie lie lie" so what would be the point? The fact is there are sh*ttons of unsold X360 lying around in shops. If you don't believe that, then the only way for you is a) find someone in/near Basle/Switzerland and b) get her/him to take pictures of the sh*ttons of unsold X360s.

The simple fact is that the one MediaMarkt I pass by occasionally has been overloaded with X360s and they don't really sell (the price was slashed to around $240, with Fifa and a $60 MS credit voucher). Then again, I have no problems in believeing that MS could ship another 800k units worldwide last quarter, but certainly not to Switzerland.

Now, to rub some more salt into your wounds, you can search and maybe find the corporate statement that the Metro Group issued a few weeks ago, which included a specific statement about the disappointing sales of XBox consoles over the XMas period. It is actually that very Metro Group statement that lets me believe I am NOT sitting in the only town in the world where there are sh*ttons of unsold X360s lying around.

I think Ms is shipping X360's to the moon, does Vgchartz include sales outside Earth?

You didn't answer my question tho, if they were so overstocked in December, world over according to you, how did MS manage to ship 800k more??

And what is with this salt nonsense, have you heard yourself?

So, this is pretty much what was to be expected.

Sure, they're not the "best" numbers I've ever seen but it could have been worse. I think MS will be pretty happy with how the XOne is performing.

I dont think they will be happy with the X1 numbers. But they probably wont be panicked either. If they want to compete though they do need to make some changes. The coming months will be rough on the X1.

As for the rest of MS...doing amazing as usual If theres one that MS knows how to do...its how to make a shit load of money lol.

Seems like even surface is coming right. I think theres real potential with surface, they havent quite executed that properly yet but they will get there.

Intel Core i7 3770K [3.5GHz]|MSI Big Bang Z77 Mpower|Corsair Vengeance DDR3-1866 2 x 4GB|MSI GeForce GTX 560 ti Twin Frozr 2|OCZ Vertex 4 128GB|Corsair HX750|Cooler Master CM 690II Advanced|

Goddamn, terrible sales for the X1. The numbers are right there yet there's still denialists, lol. I guess MS must be under tracking their own console haha

Hello Dallas

Nice to see Surface Pro doing better. I just picked one up the other day, it's a great piece of tech.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!
