Of course a reviewer won't be swayed by a free gift.

Next thing you know Microsoft will be handing out new 360 slims everyone who attends their EA conference.

Seriously though, every review kit sent out is worth hundreds of dollars. I think The Last of Us one still goes for $300+ on ebay. The mobile phone is a nice nod to the game, and a nice middle finger to righteous twitter warriors everywhere.

If the gift is more expensive that the game itself, I think is a shady tactic.

This seems really iffy to me. You can't just hand out hi-tech treats to get the dawgs to wag their tails. Did anyone refuse or donate it to charity like the twit seems to suggest? Where's the connection between Ubi/Watchdogs and Nexus anyway? Just seems really blatant, like a pol outside a polling booth with a bottle. Or a free ho for losing big at a casino. Just jealous I guess.

Come to take a look at the new game we're making, have a £200 tablet for free... hope that doesn't make you think happy thoughts or anything..... Why not just give them the £200 and wink as they left? That's pretty sad imo.
