My favourite thing regarding this gen that people said in 2012 and prior was when Xbox fans said that the real battlefield of next gen would be Europe since MS has NA under total control... oh how wrong people were :D

Well those predictions were normal they thought sony was going to fail again launching an expensive console as they did with ps3 and Microsoft was going to launch another powerful "cheap" console. But in 8th gen it has been different, sony has the powerful cheap console and Microsoft failed at launch.

Not to mention, the "consoles are dead" crowd.

"PS4 won't be a gimped console" is not what I understand as doom even if the creator meant that the console will release later as 2013 but he meant that more as a good decision and not a bad one.

I think we just focus so much on when he's wrong that it drowns out the other cases.

For instance, I remember him saying around 2011 Nintendo needs to bring out a Wii HD asap. Everyone was laughing at that, but looking at it in hindsight, it really could have made a big difference.
