I gotta say, the drops seem a lot smaller than I expected for XBO and PS4...less than a week for NPD though so not long to wait

And it's well deserved. Both MS and Nintendo (as much as love my Wii U) put out unappealing products that people don't want and they're no struggling with it. Meanwhile Sony put out a great product and so are rewards with great sales numbers. It's the essense of competition. Nintendo will be too slow to react and no matter what MS does, they'll be outsold significantly because they're irrelevent outisde the US/UK (and even there they're loosing). 

Now the US sales are up for this week, has someone calculated the figures for March to compare to the NPD's?

and 10.7k are from UK. XB1 actually sold less than 7k in the rest of EU by a few hundered, abysmal sales. i been saying so a few weeks after launch. XB1 sales in EU are very BAD. 

My dog, those are terrible Wii U numbers. But hey, let's release MK until may 31th and smash for winter! Nothing bad can happen.

Those 3DS numbers are low.

It's simply doing bad in Europe even when factoring in that it's "only" officially out in the main EU countries.

Besides, the folks who really 'want' an Xbox One, that are in countries that it hasn't launched in yet, are already/have already imported them (See TF on One, ranking on SW charts, in countries that it hasn't launched in, from the launch week(s) of TF, that is).  I know a number of people who've already gotten theirs in South Africa.  I mean, it'll have an effect when it finally reaches those territories, but not as big as people are thinking.

Price cutting of the xbox one will also put wii u under pressure in the uk. A quick look shows many retailers selling the wii u between £250-300. I keep seeing very cheap deals for wii u but the walk in price for wii u in many shops is still close to the launch price. If Mariokart doesn't' sell wii u's surely Niintendo will be forced into a huge price drop perhaps in September. Actually even if mario kart sells brilliantly it still needs a large price cut. The xbox one is performing weakly compared to ps4 but compared to wii u its performing absolutely brilliantly.

Also I think it was madness for Nintendo and Microsoft to kill off their earlier consoles so quickly. Both should have done budget versions of these consoles. PS3 is doing brilliantly and seems to have years of life left in it. I'm sure the same could have been true of 360 and even wii.

Yesterday's (probably smaller, like 20-40 units) shipment of solo PS4s evaporated overnight.. But today , a sh*tton of the "Amazon bundles" appeared in MediaMarkt stores (three fulll palettes). Assuming this was a Europe-wide massive shipment, we could see a (final for this period) considerable bump in EU sales numbers.

damn I was just visiting their homepage here in germany to see if they have them in stock at my media markt ...
but they removed the ps4 consoles from their hp, you can't even preorder it from them online -_-

going tommorow to see if they have some. they currently have the vita+16gb+6 lego games for 149€. hopefully I can leave with a ps4+vita bundle tommorow.
