Looks like the original textures to me. Waiting for uncompressed screenshots.

Less than a full blown remake but more than a straight port.

Judging by what they have already announced its gonna be pretty big with upgrades to resolution, character models, shadows, lighting and more.

Definition:

A few years ago: Upgraded textures, with new gameplay element and better resolution.

Now: Bumped resolution and DLC inclusion.

I'm looking forward to picking this up when I can but that trailer was way too pretentious.

Silly teaser. The only scene they put at the end is also a spoiler. Not really but it was great to experience that in the game first-hand.

I agree that the ending was a bad moment of the game to show. Not because it doesn't have game play footage, but because it does spoil what I felt was one of the most moving moments of the game, or for that matter any game I've played in the last few years (since the end of Uncharted 2). While it doesn't spoil any of the story, it does ruin a great set up to that moment in Colorado.

Tomb Raider is alot more improved than what we can tell so far about TLOU.

Lara has a complete new model and textures and effects are all remade. But, if you played the original i see no reason why you should get it just because of a bit of eye candy.

Honestly the trailer was pretty bad, they could have shown some footage. But well, Its not like we don't know what the game is about! Waiting for a comparison with ps3 version...

really wish we saw more, but i think this was kind of an answer to it getting leaked early. and didnt have a proper trailer put together.

but also, the lighting and shadows have a significant improvement

Making a 1 minute and a half minute trailer where half of it is praise on how it's the best game ever, and the only gameplay shown is a 15 second clip that, from the viewpoint from someone that has not played the game yet, does not show, or at least give a hint on why it's the best game ever, is pretty pretentious.

It's like me telling you Citizen Kane is the best movie ever on the base that other people said it's the best movie ever. The only evidence I show to convince you is a seemingly random clip from the movie. If the arguement was that it's the best movie/game ever because it has a "groundbreaking story", or "endearing character development" or whatever, those are valid reasons on why I should consider watching the movie or playing the game, it gives me things to look forward to and to watch for. In my opinion this teaser was just ridiculous.
