FF has the better story
FF has better characters
FF has more side content
FF is a far, far longer game
FF holds up better today
FF has a slightly better soundtrack/sound effect chart

I just don't see how OoT is considered to be better when the 'other' game that tops many best-of-all-time lists beats it in virtually every category. The plausible exception being 'graphics', because the 'walking around' graphics in FFVII are hideous, but the FMV's and in-battle animations and graphics are better.

Let me know if you ever want to do a point counter-point on this. It could be a lot of fun.

For the sake of your sanity, please don't do this.

Damn, a top 5 list is really hard to choose...

A Link to the Past, Half-Life 2, Quake III Arena, Final Fantasy IX and Xenoblade Chronicles come to my mind.

But Wind Waker, Super Metroid, Metroid Prime, GTA: San Andreas, MGS: Twin Snakes, Bioshock, Deus Ex, Super Mario 3D World, Okami, Portal 2, Final Fantasy VI, Super Mario RPG, Chrono Trigger, EarthBound, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Fire Emblem: Awakening, Final Fantasy: Tactics, The Wonderful 101, Resident Evil 4 or Age of Empires 2 could be in my top 5 as well...

Honestly, that'd be fun!  Ignore Brendude, he's eternally butthurt because I absolutely loathe Final Fantasy XIII.  I just think OoT is a little overrated.  

To be fair, I think FFVII is also terribly overrated, and it's one of my favorite games.  So don't feel too bad.
