Forums - Gaming - Adam Sessler Leaving As A Video Game Journalist

BTW I don't liked him just because 1080p issue...

His GoW's misogynistic opinion showed huge preconception and it was ridiculous in a level I can't even find words to explain how bad was this case.

And after that the hole case of crying to everybody like a baby because Sony didn't give to him a PS4 test unit (and he received a PS4 retail unit).

That's not what happened, he criticized the new wave of game journalists who do cry when they don't get free review copies, he never once complained about it himself as far as I know.

He cried because he didn't received a PS4 test unit that have a HDMI port without DHCP and just received a free PS4 retail unit... he felt depressed becasuse the industry (Sony) didn't left he do his job (lol)... you are tying to defense somebody without know what happened... same for the 1080p thing.

It is my opinion but for me the game journalist will be better without him... I wish better all best with what he will do now (he is creating a consultancy company).

Precisely. 1080P was an important factor to him, until he realized his console of choice had difficulties achieving that resolution.

Did you ever stop to think that maybe he didn't have much experience with 1080p beforehand since he primarily played on consoles where almost all games were limited to 720p? He's not a PC gamer, and before this gen started only PC gamers could play 1080p games. Beforehand he thought that 1080p should be a requirement because he'd heard as much from other journalists, but seeing Ryse firsthand changed his opinion, if a game that good at 900p maybe 1080p shouldn't be a next-gen requirement afterall, I'm sure his thinking was along those lines.

It's too bad that Adam DOES have a gaming PC ever since 2008,

And let's just say, hypothetically, he didn't have a gaming PC. Why would he say 1080P games were essential for next gen if he had no idea as to what 1080P looked like? You think he was just guessing? Give me a break lol.

The guy who cried for not getting free stuff? Yea, ok. Are we supposed to feel bad?

No, he cried because Sony was paying his flight ticket and hotel/food bill for when they had the playstation review event before the PS4 launched.

He was "upset" that he had to travel for free to get paid to review video games.

He had every reason to complain about that (and he wasn't alone, many other Youtubers complained about it as well). When your livelyhood is making videos about games and a company puts a block on their console that prevents video footage from being recorded via a capture card (except through the PS4's share button which has length limitations and requires double compression if you want to put it on Youtube), you tend to get a little annoyed.

Or by using an HDMI splitter, which costs what 10$-20$? I guess he wasn't willing to spend 10 bucks to save his "livelyhood".

Why they did complained in 2006 when PS3 and 360 did the same? Ohhh wait... PS3 and 360 yet have DHCP. How he could be a reviewer in the last generation... because it was impossible to work.

Lol even then they can use a HDMI splitter...People like Whiteboy7th were already posting PS4 gameplay videos using it with no compression.

Sometimes I guess why he never complained about the previous generation because both consoles have DHCP too...

Well good luck to him.

But he does make me chuckle sometimes, when he sounds like Sylvester Stallone sometimes when he uses words to try to sound intelligent and misses just a bit.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

That never even happened unless I missed something about it fro ma credible source. There was a tweet from him that said he was mad at one of the big 3, though he didn't say which one in the tweet. Most people guessed Sony and it later turned out that it was Sony, he was mad over the HDMI limitations (as were several Youtube gaming personalities, including Machinima's Inside Gaming).

As I said, they could have easily purchased a 10$ HDMI splitter if it mattered that much to them. Youtubers like Whiteboy did that, how do you think they got 1080P PS4 gameplay footage day 1?
