It cannot go south indefinitely. This statement lacks any kind of logic. So, the next week it sells 10k, then 7, then 3, then 2, then 1, then 0, then what exactly? There is no point in making a counter argument when the statement is devoid of any logic. Now, had you said that the ps4 will stabilize below 5k, then fine. But going south indefinitely? That's simply impossible. 

Edit: Just read Starcraft's post. If anyone thinks that this is flaming instead of an opinion, then let me know to remove it. I simply don't understand the logic behind it.

Bad PS4 sales

You took the words (and screens) out of my mouth, Nintendo should release NES Remix 1+2 in America and Europe on a disc to fill a hole in the lineup like they are doing in Japan, is clearly not a system seller but it could be a good stabilizer and I would buy it in a hearthbeat. Maybe they will use it to cover the hole between MK8 and Bayonetta 2?

I don't understand, why are people saying that the PS4 is selling bad compared to the Wii U? Didn't the Wii U sell about 10 000 units the same week last year? And about the same this year. If the PS4 is outselling the Wii U almost 2:1 I can't understand how it is being outsold.

Or am I missing something here? :o

Man, you need to go look at ps3s baseline in 2007. Ps4 will not drop below ps3. That would mean it drops below Wii U. How is selling more than the wii u make it more unwanted? That makes no sense. Your "it would take blah amount of time" comment is asinine. That completely ignores holiday and game boosts. How is the gap going to increase by selling less? And your still holding onto the idea third parties will release on the wii u? Face it, third parties made their decision (probably years ago looking at the wii but if not then...) last year when they saw Wii Us sales and thought "well ps4/xb1 cant do worse than this we better jump on those because its less risky" and if third parties for some reason decide to abandon those consoles you still wont see them on the Wii U because by that time development will be at least 3 years and the next nintendo system will be out.

Well, the thing is several people assumed that the ps4 would do great in Japan, since it was doing great everyone else. They argued that lack of enough good games did not stop it from dominating Europe and selling better than the xbo in the US, so why would it struggle in Japa?. These figures show that there is a reason. Compared to the rest of the world where it is available, it is by no means doing well in Japan.

Very true, the numbers are far from Euro-hype, only doing slightly better than the Wii U, which in itself is not doing that great. I just thought that I might have missed something in the Wii U vs. PS4 debate.

I was talking about time, not sales. the sales will keep going down for an INDEFINITIVE amount of time.
