Sony can't put Vita games on smartphones because they can't run them, or even at all. Also, what would be the point of buying a Vita if the games are on mobile? question is, would they be able to sell it for 60$ (or what ever it sells for) on andriod and iphones? and if not, would it sell so much more than it would make more money at a 5$ or 10$ on smartphones than it does on a 60$ price tage on 3DS? last pokemon sold 10$ million so far, can an andriod or iphone game beat those kind of revenue's that the 3DS made?

I'm not saying put DS/3DS titles on mobile, that would obviously affect Nintendo in a bad way. Who's buying a Game Boy Color to play Pokemon? And you brought up Sony's financials in your post. This thread isn't a Nintendo doomed thread and me saying how they can gain profit. The main point is that Nintendo is the only company that could pull this off. If Sony could do this, I would put them in the title.

You start putting even your classic games on the lower priced markets like iOS or Android and then people are going to expect more and since you caved on it once they will expect you to do so again.

More importantly they will question why they have to pay $5 to $10 on your own electronic market space when they could get the game or its predecessor for $3 to $5. Nevermind that there is no magical computer that suddenly switches over older games to work on touch screen devices perfectly and Nintendo will lose revenue because they have to share it with either Apple or Google for each sale, no one can predict if the millions of sales they may or may not get from going mobile and cutting their normal sales prices will be enough to offset costs of going mobile or the damage done to their own hardware business.

Seriously, Nintendo would be better off merging with Valve and developing exclusively for Steam if they ever had to leave the hardware business but anyone talking about the mobile market being viable for Nintendo titles probably doesn't play enough Nintendo games outside of Wii Sports.
